Sample individual records and retain explicitly selected animals

Usage

gsim_sample(animals, n, strata = NULL, retain = character(), seed = 1)

Arguments

animals: Eligible animal IDs.
n: Quotas as in gsim_select().
strata: Optional sampling strata.
retain: Animal IDs included with probability one, for example selected parents. Quotas apply to the remaining animals, in addition to retention.
seed: Nonnegative identity-stream seed.

Value

Eligible-animal table with sampled/retained masks and conditional inclusion probabilities. Retained animals need not be representative.
